Located in Sutton, MA, Fitness EM manufactures “empower,” a line of home gyms designed exclusively for women. In addition, Fitness EM also carries a full line of Danskin fitness accessories.
Fitness EM was very clear with us about their target market: women and fitness. To do this, they asked us to create a soft, appealing website with instructional videos and an intuitive checkout system.
Working collaboratively with Fitness EM, Tortus designed a clean, forward-looking website targeted towards their female demographic. We used soft colors and strong images to appeal to the active women in Fitness EM’s target market.
A product section featuring the home gyms includes downloadable PDF files for strength training exercises, and flash video demonstrations of the equipment. We created a custom Content Management System (CMS) that allows Fitness EM to upload, add, and edit products and images to their database with ease, at any time. Fitness EM also has the ability to set sale prices, and manage promotions. An email opt-in tied into Tortus' email marketing system allows Fitness EM to reach their customers and direct more traffic to their site, while collecting valuable customer emails for their organic database.
Fitness EM has seen a positive response from their customers and made sales of the new ‘empower’ home gym for women. Since the launch of the site, their fitness equipment and accessories have been featured in Shape, Women’s Health, People, and Fitness magazine.
