The Client

Franklin First is a not-for-profit financial cooperative for Franklin County, Massachusetts, located in Greenfield, MA.  They provide a range of banking products and services including checking, savings, personal loans, mortgages, education loans, online banking, touch-tone teller and many more.  With a friendly approach to business, Franklin First prides themselves on excellent customer service and an honest, friendly and straightforward staff.

The Challenge

Franklin First needed a site with a fresh and more modern design, as their former site had become quite outdated and was no longer regularly maintained. They were interested in keeping many of the same features of their former site but wanted to condense and simplify what was there in order to make it easier to navigate. They were also interested in being able to maintain and update information on the site themselves whenever they need to.

The Result

Tortus created a simple and easy-to-use design for Franklin First which allows users to find all of the information they need quickly and easily. The new layout is clean and concise, but the flyer images on the front page combined with the piggy bank image in the header still makes for a friendly feel. Red, white and blue are Franklin First's branding colors, which were elegantly incorporated into the design layout without the colors becoming overpowering. The clean and easily viewed layout makes for a more pleasant user experience.

Tortus' programmers created a back-end Content Management System for Franklin First which allows the client to easily update their page information. This system allows the client to update rates, product information and most page content areas on the site. They can also upload new PDFs of their current ads, an image of the ad and text for viewers to learn more about special promotions on the home page.
