Alaska is the state with the most coastline: 6,640 miles to be exact. Alaska is also the largest state overall in the U.S., alaskamapbut it remains the least densely populated, with nearly half of its residents living in the Anchorage metropolitan area. As you might expect, Alaska's main export product (excluding oil and natural gas) is seafood, mainly in the form of salmon, cod, pollock, and crab. So while you may have been thinking that sunny Florida or California were the most coastline-dense states, Alaska is really the place to go if you're looking for beaches!
