In our May "Back to the Future" newsletter, we addressed "predictive analytics," or the the ability to predict the future through the use of web-based software. Of course in the movie "Back to the Future," Doc (Christopher Lloyd), had the advantage-because he'd been to the future!
This month we're discussing the importance of being an Agile Business. This is a "buzz word" especially in the world of IT. Successful organizations understand and apply the principles of agility. Is your organization not just thinking, but also moving in this direction?
So, what is an agile organization? We describe agility in business as the intuitive ability to sense a need for change in your organization, and then quickly, effectively, and efficiently doing something about it. This just doesn't pertain to technology and IT-- being agile also applies to the traditional side of your business.
Creating agility is easier said then done, since status quo is the culprit that prevents organizations from growth and positive change. Changing the culture and process within your organization is a daunting task.
One key element of agility based organizations is having a "variable cost model." The concept of having a W-2 staff for everything-- controlling everything in house-- is too costly and in many cases obsolete. To be an agile company in today's fast paced world you must identify the right business partners to grow your business, then decide on how to use them. "Do you outsource?" is a question that needs to be answered.

The Growing Your Business in 2007 seminar featuring John Calipari was a huge success! Our panel included Joe Cambi, Chairman, W.J. Bradley Company, Richard Domaleski, CEO, World Energy Solutions, and Wally Weeks, President, Leather Outlet. John Calipari gave a motivating presentation, and the feedback from the attendees indicated that everyone had a great time, and walked away with new ideas. We thank all of those who attended, and look forward to seeing you at our next seminar in 2008.

This "mini-seminar" is open-agenda to facilitate discussions regarding questions or challenges in marketing, conversions, email marketing, or customer concerns.Seating is limited, (15 people per seminar, and available on a first come first serve basis), so contact Caitlin Casali today to sign-up.
