In 2004 Tortus Technologies, Inc. made the decision to embrace an upstart object based programming language called Ruby Ruby on Railson Rails, Rails, or RoR. At Tortus we also use and incorporate many other Open Source and Microsoft (MS) programming languages. In fact, based on our clients needs, we can work with nearly all languages on the market. Our distinct love of Rails stems from the exceptional scalability and value that we identify for our clients. RoR allows Tortus to more readily say "yes" to our clients when they make a request for a change or update to their digital solution. The scalability of RoR reduces the need to rebuild from scratch for every change of functionality.  A low cost of ownership leads to a happy client and another success story for Tortus. Contact us if you'd like to hear more on how to improve your business and save a few dollars while you're at it.

Twitter, a social network founded in 2006, also decided to use RoR for their enterprise foundation. Why you ask? Simply explained, Rails is less expensive to build, maintain, integrate, and add new functionality too. Who are other users of Ruby on Rails? The Yellow Pages, hulu, The New York Jets, and millions of others.

Should you incorporate twitter into your business plan, and become a "tweeter"?
