Bloom recently installed their ‘Bloom Boxes' at Google, Walmart, Fedex, Staples, Ebay, and many other companies. The cost of each energy server is $700,000 -- $800,000 per unit installation. The estimated return on investment, based on traditional grid energy costs, is less than three years! These energy-generating units are not connected to the traditional grid. Instead, Bloom's technology makes electricity through a chemical reaction via oxide fuel cells made of simple sand-- literally making electricity out of air.
