Tortus Technologies is growing!

October 06, 2009

Tortus Technologies has recently hired two new employees, with plans to hire a third.

“We’re hiring due to the bad economy,” Harry Moore, Tortus CEO, said. “During an economy like this, some people do great while others don’t do so well. Necessity is the mother of invention. If you’re not embracing technology and moving forward, you’re not going to be hiring.”

Sara Anderson, who joined the Tortus team in May, is the marketing communications associate. She earned a master of arts in English from Arizona State University and was employed as a technical writer for nine years before coming to Tortus Technologies. Anderson is also a continuing education student studying communication and graphic design at Westfield State College.

Roz Luongo is Tortus’s new project coordinator and joined the company in September. She brings 25 years of customer service experience and a dedication to addressing the individual and unique needs of each client. As part of the production team, Luongo is committed to the overall success of each business entrusted to Tortus Technologies.

Tortus is also looking for a web applications programmer to add to their team. The envisioned candidate will have the opportunity to develop custom web applications in a cutting-edge environment and will work alongside other members of the team to create new products and applications for the marketplace.

Moore noted that “our business has been good for the simple fact that we help people reduce their expenses and increase their revenues; that’s all we do. Almost all the companies today that have retained us now have a need for increased revenue or better, more efficient business processes. A lot of people today are having a hard time keeping themselves top of mind for clients and prospective clients.”
